My Story
Gigi Adduci’s Story: From Pain to Purpose
Gigi Adduci was born in Brooklyn, New York to young immigrant parents who were working hard to build a new life in America. Her early childhood moved through Queens and the Bronx, but it was Yonkers where she truly grew up — where she learned resilience, grit, and the work ethic that would later carry her through the hardest years of her life.
She earned her bachelor’s degree in Advertising in 2000 and spent many years working in her family’s real estate business, using her education and creativity every day. Life seemed on track. But underneath it all, something had been wrong since childhood.
A Lifetime of Pain No One Could Explain
Gigi was the little girl who couldn’t go to birthday parties without clutching her stomach. Before the age of five, she already knew what debilitating pain felt like — constipation, bloating, and cramps so severe they would knock her down and steal her joy.
At seventeen, she was diagnosed with IBS. She stayed loyal to the same GI doctor for years, attending appointment after appointment, hoping for answers. Nothing improved. When she asked if it could get worse, she was told “no.”
But it did.
The Breaking Point
In 2004, during her first pregnancy, everything changed. While backpacking across Europe with her husband — the love of her life — she noticed her symptoms escalating. She traveled with laxatives, suppositories, teas, and Imodium just to function.
After returning home, her digestion spiraled. Once she started going, she couldn’t stop. Her immune system weakened. She thought she kept “catching stomach bugs,” but something deeper was happening.
After giving birth to her beautiful 10‑lb baby boy, her body crashed. Within 24 hours she couldn’t control her bowels — mucus, blood, diarrhea. She lived in adult diapers for two years. She barely left the house. She was exhausted, in pain, and losing hope.
Doctors diagnosed her with ulcerative colitis. Then Crohn’s disease. Inflammation spread to her liver. Her body was shutting down.
One day, the GI she had trusted since she was 17 looked at her labs and said:
“Something is killing you — either your disease or the medication.” Then he dismissed her from his practice.
She was alone, terrified, and getting worse.
The Moment Everything Changed
In 2006, after yet another colonoscopy — she was getting them every 3–4 months — she woke up to devastating news: they wanted to remove half her intestines and put her on a colostomy bag for life. They told her she was septic and dying, and had no choice.
But God, Jesus, the universe — whatever name people give to the divine — had other plans.
A controversial book found its way into her hands. She won’t name it here, but it introduced her to naturopathic medicine, colon hydrotherapy, detoxification, hydration, pH balance, and the idea that the body can heal when given the right environment.
She followed the guidance. She found a naturopathic physician. She changed everything.
Within days, she felt relief. Within weeks, she felt transformation. Within 12 weeks, she had another colonoscopy — just to prove she was healing.
The GI looked at her and said: “It’s like you were never sick. Good for you.” Then walked out.
But when she woke up in recovery, nurses were lined up shoulder‑to‑shoulder, ready to take notes. They wanted to know what she did. They wanted to learn.
That was the moment she realized: The system is broken — and people are suffering unnecessarily.
She had been given a second chance. And she knew it wasn’t just for her. It was so she could help others.
Turning Pain Into Purpose
Gigi spent years learning, studying, experimenting, and healing. She discovered that true healing happens in layers — physical, emotional, nutritional, energetic. You remove the “bad stuff,” bring in the “good stuff,” and the body finally has the environment it needs to repair itself.
Cleanses. Colon hydrotherapy. Nutrition. Supplementation. Emotional release. Hydration. Sleep. Stress reduction. One layer at a time.
Health isn’t a destination — it’s a journey. You fall off sometimes, but when you know the steps, you can always get back on.
That’s why she went back to school. That’s why she earned multiple certifications. That’s why she opened her clinic.
Because people are suffering — and they don’t know there’s another way.
Gigi’s mission is simple: To help her community heal the way she healed — deeply, naturally, and with hope.
